Grilled Mayo/Yogurt Broccoli

Grilled Mayo/Yogurt Broccoli

This is GAME-CHANGING Broccoli. I know, game-changing is a pretty important phrase – and this is!! I threw this broccoli together on a whim and Mr. Chef and I were so blown away by it that we knew I had to try to recreate it (by actually measuring and stuff). My lack of measuring in my day-to-day life is a struggle – trust me, that is the hardest part of loving to cook and not using measuring tools… most of the time I can’t even recreate my own recipes. So if I took the time to measure to share with you, you know it has to be good!

UPDATE – I originally wrote (and never shared) this a while ago. This is now our GO-TO way to cook Broccoli! We LOVE to coat all of our veggies (and often even Chicken) in a mayo/yogurt marinade. PLEASE try this!!!

So you know how you can marinate chicken in yogurt for an awesome Greek or Indian flavor? WELL, this works the same way with the broccoli. The yogurt/mayo and spice combo gives this broccoli a super “meaty” flavor and is going to be has been the perfect grilled broccoli partner to our steaks & other grilled goodies all summer long!

We have been adding a combination of yogurt/mayo/oil and whatever seasonings we feel like it on almost everything we want to “amp up” on the grill so far this summer. Zucchini, potatoes, chicken, broccoli – you name it, we’ve coated it so far this year. Please give this a shot, I promise (hope?) you won’t be disappointed!

Grilled Yogurt/Mayo Broccoli

  • ¼ cup yogurt
  • ¼ cup mayo
  • ⅛ cup olive oil
  • 1 head broccoli
  • 1 tsp granulated garlic
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp pepper
  • ½ tsp paprika
  • other spices as desired
  1. Combine all of the ingredients (except broccoli) in a large mixing bowl. Taste & adjust seasoning as needed (feel free to spice it up any way to mix with whatever style of cooking you are going for)

  2. (wash broccoli) Cut Broccoli into large pieces

  3. Toss Broccoli in Yogurt/Mayo Marinade and coat well

  4. Pre-Heat Grill to Medium Heat. Place on Foil for ease of grilling OR watch carefully (the mayo tends to make the grill fire flare up sometimes) and grill for about 15 minutes, turning often

And I leave you with this, Today’s Question of the Day… What is your FAVORITE way to prepare Broccoli?
