Mexican “Grilled” Corn

Mexican “Grilled” Corn

We are still getting corn from our awesome local farm’s CSA. All year we seem to have been getting between one and dozen ears of corn a week. Much of this corn I have been sharing with my neighbors and my parents. Much of the

Jalapeno Poppers

Jalapeno Poppers

We like things spicy around here. So last year when Rich decided that he wanted to grow habaneros, I supported him. Well, who knew that two little plants would produce so many peppers. I think that all year we used about 25 habaneros (and that

Killer Pizza’s Fiery Dragon’s Breath Pizza

Killer Pizza’s Fiery Dragon’s Breath Pizza

I love to teach, I love to cook, I love to read. So here I present to you all of those things that I love, wrapped up in one neat little Pizza (which happens to also be the favorite of the man that I love!).

Refrigerator Pickles

Refrigerator Pickles

You begin to make your favorite pickle recipe and then wonder if there was a way you could eat fresh-from-the-garden pickles sooner than your standard recipe makes. Well – you are in luck, because just 48 (or less) hours from now you can enjoy garden fresh pickles!

This summer we have been enjoying cucumbers from both our CSA and our neighbors garden. The “regular cucumbers” have been usually just cut up into a Salad with Tomatoes or basically just eaten as is, but the Kirby Cucumbers are just shouting to be made into pickles!
